Ownminder is fuelled by industry insight and expert contributors to motivate all workers to develop and maintain their mind fitness. Based on the supported belief that prevention is just as important, if not more so, than reactive only mental health strategies, we have partnered with key industry organisations and leaders who passionately share this same belief.
Our founding partners blu-3, DGP Logistics, Erith, Lucas UK and Morrisroe, value the changes in the Health & Safety legislation, social value and government procurement policies, to focus more on providing mental health support and training. With their support and invaluable industry insight, Ownminder has been developed to ensure that what we deliver both resonates with and is engaging for the construction industry and its workers.

Founder
Dr Vanessa Moulton is a Psychologist who is passionate about enabling and maintaining psychologically fit minds. Her experience incorporates military mental health, including working at the MoDs Rehabilitation Centre during the peak of the Afghanistan conflict and being Head of Psychological Wellbeing at ‘Help For Heroes’. She also worked at ‘Combat Stress’ on their PTSD programme, and was the Expedition Psychologist for The South Pole ‘Walking with the Wounded’ challenge. She was the Clinical Lead on the Ministry of Defence / Royal Foundation project ‘HeadFit’, where she developed the psychological approach and content for the mental fitness platform, providing tools and strategies to build and develop mental fitness for the whole MoD workforce.
Dr Moulton is currently the Mental Health Consultant for the ‘Invictus Games Foundation’ and sits on the Advisory Board of the Government’s Office of Veterans’ Affairs. She also continues to run her private therapy clinic treating a range of mental health disorders.
Director
Tom Storey is a Property and Construction Strategic Consultant. After founding K10 Apprenticeships Ltd (the market leading provider of apprentices to the construction sector), he now provides strategic consultancy advice to a number of leading Property Developers and Contractors within the construction sector in relation to Social Impact. This includes consulting on apprenticeships, local employment, digital transformation and community investment.
